Masterfully hand-knotted by skilled Persian artisans, this exceptional 1930s vintage wool rug beautifully captures the intricate artistry of classic Josheghan design. Measuring a grand 10′ x 12’7″ ft., the piece features a highly distressed, remarkably abrashed field of pale sage green and faded ivory that exudes a serene, time-honored character. This subtly oxidized canvas is adorned with a prominent rust-red central diamond medallion surrounded by a classic geometric lattice of stylized snowflake-like floral motifs, rendered in a muted palette of faded terracotta, warm sand, and soft slate blue. Elegantly framed by a complementary rust-toned main border detailed with continuous geometric and botanical patterns, this magnificent foundational layer seamlessly blends antique heritage with transitional appeal. Preserving its exquisite historical texture, this masterpiece is perfectly proportioned to effortlessly anchor a grand formal dining room or an expansive living area.

To ensure the longevity and beauty of your hand-knotted rug, regular maintenance is essential. We recommend vacuuming your rug frequently, being careful to turn off the beater bar to prevent damaging the natural fibers and delicate fringe. If spills occur, blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, which can push the stain deeper. Rotating your piece every few months will help it wear evenly and minimize color fading from direct sunlight. Finally, to truly protect your investment, we advise having your rug professionally washed at our Evanston cleaning facility every few years to gently remove deeply embedded dirt and restore its original luster.
