Masterfully hand-knotted by skilled Afghan artisans, this exceptional wool rug beautifully reimagines classic Turkish Oushak design for the sophisticated transitional home. Measuring a generous 9′ x 12’6” ft., the piece is anchored by a deeply saturated, beautifully abrashed field of dark slate-blue and indigo that creates a striking, dramatic canvas. This commanding interior is adorned with a spacious, oversized arrangement of stylized floral palmettes, sweeping botanical vines, and bold, jagged leaves. The dynamic interior elements are meticulously rendered in a harmonious palette of soft blush pink, pale aqua, and crisp ivory, all powerfully framed by a broad, contrasting main border in warm shades of light peach and soft terracotta. Woven for enduring longevity and luxurious texture, this captivating masterpiece serves as an exquisite foundational layer, perfectly proportioned to effortlessly anchor a refined formal dining room or bring elevated, striking warmth to an expansive living area.

To ensure the longevity and beauty of your hand-knotted rug, regular maintenance is essential. We recommend vacuuming your rug frequently, being careful to turn off the beater bar to prevent damaging the natural fibers and delicate fringe. If spills occur, blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing, which can push the stain deeper. Rotating your piece every few months will help it wear evenly and minimize color fading from direct sunlight. Finally, to truly protect your investment, we advise having your rug professionally washed at our Evanston cleaning facility every few years to gently remove deeply embedded dirt and restore its original luster.
